My name is Katelyn Kougias and I am looking for an entry-level position in the communications field. I have always loved interacting, conversing, and negotiating with others. While attending Brigham Young University-Idaho I joined iComm Student Media where I was able to become a dependable writer, video editor, producer and content manager.
Because of these leadership positions I have had the opportunity to write, improve my news gathering skills and increase my managerial capacities. I have also been working with the web site www.byuicomm.net since its launch in May 2009 serving as a content manager.
Along with my experience in journalism, I have expanded my knowledge by taking classes in both web design and business management. I feel that having the knowledge from these classes will help me to stand out from my peers in the work force and give me the extra expertise to be able to gain employment in the future.
